The simple addition of egg whites to your morning porridge increases the protein content & gives it a more creamy consistency.
What you need:
- 1/2 cup oats
- 1 cup water or milk
- 2 egg whites
Toppings ideas:
- Banana & Peanut Butter
- Chocolate square (70% or more) & strawberries
- Mixed nuts & honey
- Fruit compote
Directions:
- Heat the oats & liquid on a medium heat until they begin to bubble.
- Whisk egg whites.
- Remove from the heat & stir in the egg whites.
- Place back on the heat & stir for an extra 2 minutes.
- Remove from heat & top with chosen ingredients.
